They're great for the company selling them
You miss out on dividends and are paying for the notion of security. Far better to make your own by using an index tracker and holding a portion of cash - you can then benefit from all dividends and any growth but with the same downside protection.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
