car choice

At present I have a skoda Octavia on lease which is ending soon due to personal circumstances I can now only afford a small car ie skoda citigo .Volkswagen up (same car) etc . this is mostly down to cheap road tax, insurance etc anyone tell what's is like living and driving a small car all the time ? I only do 6k-7k a year all town driving except about 4 times a year going on holiday or visit family approx 400 round trip next car will be bought for cash thanks for your help

    It's fine? I thought this question was a bit daft, tbh... It's hardly any different to driving a bigger car.

    I'd recommend (and will probably get flamed for recommending) a Fiat Panda as the ideal small car - stupidly cheap, bulletproof (Petrol) engines, economical, easy (cheap) to maintain, comfortable elevated driving position (it feels like driving a really small van), and just the right size to fit in big items when you need to buy a big telly or go to the tip (with the back seats down).

    I had one for eleven years and still miss it, and only traded it in when my wife wanted a new car for herself and it made more sense for me to have her newer car - I abused it both in driving style and by loading it up with all kinds of household carp that people still struggle to believe. Never had any mechanical faults with it in all that time...

    I still think a lot about getting a 100HP. That would be serious fun.
