If I am way off the mark here I'd be interested in how you interpret GLHs.

    .

I do not interpret the GLH rules, that is set by SFA and EQA/EV.

    Good luck.

    Good luck.
Taken from the ASCL Act 2009
"(10) In this Chapter a “number of hours of guided learning”, in relation to a form of
a qualification, means a number of notional hours representing an estimate of
the amount of actual guided learning which could reasonably be expected to
be required in order for persons to achieve the standard required to obtain that
    form of the qualification.
    (11) In subsection (10) “actual guided learning” means time a person spends—
    (a) being taught or given instruction by a lecturer, tutor, supervisor or
other appropriate provider of education or training, or
    (b) otherwise participating in education or training under the immediate
guidance or supervision of such a person,
but does not include time spent on unsupervised preparation or study,
    whether at home or otherwise."

And here, taken from the SASE framework guidance:

An Intermediate Level Apprenticeship framework must
specify the number of Guided Learning Hours (GLH) that an
apprentice must receive to complete the framework. This
must be a minimum of 280 GLH of which at least 100 GLH
or 30% (whichever is the greater) must be delivered off-the-
job and clearly evidenced. The remaining GLH must be
delivered on-the-job and clearly evidenced. Guided learning
relates to training which is designed to achieve clear and
specific outcomes which contribute directly to the successful
achievement of the Apprenticeship framework. This SASE
requirement for on-the-job and off the job guided learning is
intended to meet the requirement in Section 27 (2) (b) of the
ASCL Act for on-the-job training and off-the-job training.

    Apologies for the formatting.

So reading this guidance I am confident that I am well within my rights as an apprentice to request these guided learning hours in an office at work. However, you seem to interpret it differently but don't explain yourself. How is that helpful? I am very much open to being corrected and explained the correct information if I am misunderstanding.
