Still not opening in new tabs?

Apologies if this has been posted but I have been on holiday for the last two weeks and links still aren't opening in new tabs....am I doing something wrong or is it the same for everyone?

I have almost got into the habit of pressing and holding on the link till I get a box with options including 'open in new tab', only occasionally forget now.
