Appealing with POPLA

Hi guys,

I've had a really good read over the last few months about the appeals stages and what is best etc.

The scenario
PCN Company - Euro Car Parks
Location - Shell Gatwick
Charged for - Overstaying

They have given me a POPLA code and I a man now wanting to appeal with POPLA.
After reading umpteen threads and some very good information, I'm unsure what to do/what is the best option when appealing on the POPLA Appeals Process.

Other than being ridiculous, I disagree with their signage, as when I drove into that car park for the very first time at night, the sign wasn't lit up and it was quite far away when I drove in.

What is my best option and is there a guide to the appeals procedure through POPLA and possibly a template for Euro Car Parks?

Also on my refusal letter from ECP - it states that they do not need to prove who the driver is. Am I right in thinking that this is incorrect?

Thanks for any help

Karlos

    Hi Karlos,

Do one or both of these things and you will find your template (do then show us your own hybrid effort before submitting it under 'OTHER' on the POPLA website:

    - search this board for 'Euro POPLA' and you will find recent winning ones in full

    - look in POPLA Decisions (top thread) but going BACK from the end, locate the September posts I made with template POPLA appeal points you can copy verbatim.

We hope you didn't say who was driving because if not then the keeper can use the POFA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
