First time letting, being paranoid?!

Hello!
So I'm moving out of home and letting a flat at last and am possibly being paranoid but I'm unsure of the procedure from here.
I went to the letting agents, filled in the application and signed all the necessary paperwork for credit checks and employers reference as well as the admin fees. All that was sorted and the lady let me know via text that the credit check was fine, employers reference received and asked if I would like to move in Friday 28th. I said that would be perfect and I've not heard anything back since then, that was last Thursday.
Am I being paranoid or is this normal?
If so what is the usual procedure from here, when/where do I pay the deposit and first months rent and where will I collect the keys from?
Thanks in advance!

Ring them up and ask them, maybe.
I know that sounds a bit simplistic, but that's the only way you will know what's going on. We can only speculate.0 -
The only way to find out what's happening is to phone them up and ask. Have you signed the contract yet?
Renting, not letting.0 -
I'd give them a ring as it's getting quite close. It can take a while for all the checks and references to come though though. I'm sure they will contact you when they have all the necessary information back and let you know how to pay deposit and arrange keys , provided all their checks come back clear. However, if you are worried, as the others have said, just give them a call.
If you're renting via a lettings agent, you will normally pay them the deposit and pick up the keys fro them. Again, they will let you know. Whoever they tell you to pay the deposit to, just make sure they put it in a deposit protection scheme within 30 days! You will get a letter from one of the DPS when they protect it. If you don't know anything about the DPS, read up and get familiar with it! It's VERY important and when I was renting, it's saved my behind, and my money! form an a***hole landlord :T0
