Pressure on new installed Combi Boiler drop within 30 minutes

Hi There,
I really hope someone can advise me on this issue. About 5 days ago we have a new boiler and 4 rads installed. For the job we paid £ 2400 + vat . Since then the pressure on the boiler drop every 30 minutes . We called that company who installed the boiler back , they checked the boiler and told us that we might have a leak in the system. Please note that we didn't have the issue with the old boiler. I am calling back the engineer everyday but I am under the impression that they want us to sort out the leak. This is quite worry as we leave on the ground floor with laminate floor and concrete underneath and there is no obvious water stain anywhere . The engineer also put in the system the leak sealer twice and I have been told that this is cowboy job. My question is, is their duty to sort out the leak or we have to do it ? Many thanks for your reply.

ok I'm assuming that you have had a combi installed in place of a conventional pumped system: all comments below are based on that assumption...
1: Before starting they should have told you that going from a low pressure system (pumps) to a pressurised system could well expose any weaknesses in the existing pipework - I've seen a whole house flooded when a weak solder joint blew months after the install.
2: Leak sealer is a cowboy job
3: A leak in the existing pipework is your responsibility as long as they warned you in point 1. If you were not made aware of this then you have a case against them, albeit a weak one.
As stated - this is all assumption based on the opening paragraph - that's in my experience what you have had done, and the consequences of such a change.
not much to brighten your day, but I hope it helps

If the leak is on something they have done, valve on a new radiator or within the boiler its down to them. However if the leak is on a joint on your existing pipework it's down to you.0

Unfortunately they have not been warned on this possible consequences and as less we were expert we would not thinking of asking. All I know is that we spent so much money and we currently have a boiler that don't work plus we have no idea where the leak is. Many thanks for you time on replying my post.0

The installer told me that they didn't do anything deliberately but still they should have warned us. I really don't know what to do . I called a company of expert to find a leak and asked £ 500 + vat and what if we don't find the leak? Many thanks for replaying to my post.0
