I've not bought a new monitor for ages and my trusty, old Dell has finally bitten the dust. Not after a super fast gaming monitor just have something decent for general/office/coding work. I came across this one

It was rated 4 stars on the expertreviews.co.uk web site. Is it any good or are there better ones for the price.

One thing that I do like about it is it has a fully adjustable stand.

  • Let's be honest here, you could spend literally months looking at monitors of this size and debating specification and price.
Without finding anything significantly different to your linked monitor.

Iiyama make very good monitors; they have since early days of CRT monitors.
This one gets great reviews and seems to cover a lot of the bases re: connectivity.
So if it is the size you want and connects to your PC how you want at a price you are happy with, you won't be disappointed in this I'm sure.
I'm tempted to say it's a bit of a bargain at that sort of price, too.

I wasn't really after an exhaustive list of alternatives, more of a confirmation that this is a decent make and by and large looks decent enough. :)

Since it shows as 'clearance', buy it ASAP.

    From the website
    • All of the products which we supply* come with a minimum of 12 months manufacturers' warranty as standard, and some may include a longer warranty such as 2 or 3 years.
    • Many manufacturers offer an "extended warranty" as an optional extra which can be purchased when you order the product or within a certain time frame after you've bought the product.
    • These warranty options are either displayed alongside the product, or you can search our website for them.
    • If you can't find an extended warranty for your product, unfortunately we aren't able to offer any extended warranty for it.
    • *B-Grade/used products have a 180-day warranty only.

I believe it's a 2 year warranty with their monitors.

I've gone ahead and ordered one and hopefully get some cashback as well.

Actually, just noticed an issue with it. The above linked monitor is not the one I saw a reviewed on expertreviews here

They've linked the wrong monitor on their page. I've cancelled the order for now.

I thought it looked too much of a bargain.

Is not being able to rotate it to portrait mode that much of a showstopper for you?

Not being able to get the monitor in the position I need it is a show stopper, yes. I was looking at that particular one because £118 seemed like a good deal for a decent screen that also had a fully adjustable stand. As it turned out it was too much of a good deal.

I don't know if it helps, but I bought a desk stand for my monitor, as the built-in one wasn't adjustable.

The one I have doesn't have quick-release height adjustment, but you can rotate, tilt, move forwards/backwards, etc. I'm sure you could find one with easy height-adjustment if you want it.
