How long do I have to claim money owed to me

I believe that I am owed money for a service paid for but not provided. How long do I have to claim? I followed procedure, attempted contact but did not have a response about future appointments, registered letters etc. I'm using Money Claim Online, but am writing up my claim and want to be accurate
