My Laptop is unresponsive

Hi there. I have just done a reformat on my HP Pavillion g series laptop as it seemed so slow and unresponsive. I run W7 but all of the programmes seem so slow or are not responding. Can anyone give me some guides to follow please. I'm having a bit of difficulty with every programme. Thank you

Re-install Windows and programs do you mean ?
Check you are not running two anti-virus programs.
