Partners late payment & how it affects me

Morning all,
Found a mixed bag online already so I'm looking for some clarity.
The long and short of it is, I bought a house 2 years ago and have a joint mortgage with my partner. She has just paid another credit card bill late and I'm concerned about how it directly affects my credit score.
We're both 30 however I've never had a late payment or anything detrimental to my credit score which is why I'm so concerned.
Any advice would be greatly received.
Thanks in advance
Dave

Depends on how late it was paid. Sometimes it isn't marked down as a late payment.Littlewoods £0/£750
Barclaycard £0/£1,000 @ 0% Nov '18
Goal: To be debt free by Oct' 31st 2016.
Now debt free!!!0 -
The payment was made on 12th however the statement has a late payment charge applied on the 11th. I don't have the actual due date but from that I suspect it's a few days. The fact they have charged a late payment fee suggests they are classing it as that which is why I've asked my original question.

For just a one-off, unlikely to be even recorded on the credit history. Usually it gets recorded if it happens again consecutively during the second and following months.0 -
Thanks Anthorn, I only found this out by my partner leaving the statement on the side, whats the worst case scenario, for example if this does in fact get recorded or is no the first instance?0

Your partner's name will be linked to yours as will joint credit accounts. The worst case scenario depends on lenders you apply to. It's likely that anything bad on your partner's accounts will likely be viewed as if it was yours. That's the problem with joint accounts.0 -
Thanks again, so although this particular credit card isn't a joint account, because we're linked though our mortgage this will affect how I'm personally viewed when applying for credit or remortgaging?0

Just get your partner to check there credit file in a month or so, you will see if its been recorded as late or not.
If you do share or open up a financial connection, then each of you would see the other’s name in the section of your credit report entitled ‘Financial Associations’. Although lenders would then be able to look at both your credit reports, your own credit report would show only your own credit activity.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
