Heating element for electric oven

My electric oven doesn't heat up. The fan and light work so guess it's the heating element gone. I've looked on the Internet and it looks as though it's a simple job that even I could tackle but how do I find the part number. I've tried entering the make and model number but not coming up with answers.

Thanks. It's a Bosch built in oven model HBN 9021 GB. It's probably around 12 years old.
My husband has Alzheimer's so I'm on a sharp learning curve all things DIY so I'm hoping it's something I can do.0 -
Initially contact Bosch directly
http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/spareparts/search
They keep spares for ten years, they say. I have found them both helpful if you phone and just as cheap as anywhere else for genuine spares with fast delivery.
If that fails (or you wish a compatible element) post again.
The element replacement is simple but can be a bit fiddly to do especially if screws inside the oven are stiff.
If you go ahead and replace yourself do not forget to isolate the oven before you start!!
If it is the element (fairly likely) then often a slight bulb or burn can be seen at the defective location.0 -
Oh and you probably need the Er number instead/as well as the model number - on the plate inside the door/frame0

Do you have a shop locally that's sells spares for ovens/vacuum cleaners etc? Remove the element and take it into the shop, they can often supply a suitable alternative. Depending upon the type of oven (oh dear I see it is a built-in) it will be removal of inner linings, then there might be a cover over the element. Remove the spade connectors, undo the supporting clip and out pops your element. ALWAYS, ALWAYS turn off the power before attempting any repair work. I replaced an element in a built-in once that meant I had to remove the oven from its location as the screws holding the element cover were put in from the back!!! Try telling the customer why it took 4 hours to do a twenty minute job!0

Thank you again for your replies. Like Kirk can I just watch the oven off at the socket or ideas it need to be at the fuse box?0

This should do - https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/2044-bosch-neff-siemens-cooker-fan-oven-element
Check your fusebox - you may have a dedicated circuit for the oven. If you are unsure do the job in daylight and flick the main switch.
If you are very lucky you'll be able to replace it from within the oven. I wasn't and had to take my oven out and remove a couple of panels to get to the screws holding the element in.
Email ukwhitegoods ... they were very helpful when I ordered from them.0 -
Thank you all for your replies. I'll get back to you but I'm off to hospital for a couple of days (minor procedure) so will deal with it when I get back home.0

You can't be too careful with mains electricity, so always turn off at the fuse before doing any work. In addition I always use a non-contact voltage detector to make doubly sure cables and contact points are not live before I touch them.0 -
I've always found Espares pretty good on price - how does this compare price-wise with the Bosch official site ?
