Mcdonalds Parking Fine

Hi all,
I've had a quick read through of a few threads RE: appealing parking fines by MET. I was just wondering if anyone had had any success in a similar situation to my own.
Myself and 2 friends met up at our local McDonalds on the13th, we over stayed the 90 min time (without knowing there was one) totalling a time of, I think, 117mins.
We met up again at the same McDonalds on the 20th, and we believe we may have over stayed again by a few minutes.
On the 21st all 3 of us received a PCN from MET Parking re the 13th, we are assuming we will be getting a second one this week.
Do we have any chance of all 3 of us getting BOTH fines dropped? Is there anything special we should be doing because of the situation?
We were in the store the whole time, we all made separate purchases on our own bank cards no cash.
I have a blue badge which was displayed both times, the first I was parked in a "normal" space and the second in a disabled bay. I don't know what, if anything, the signs state re:disabled parking. I'll need to go back and read them closely but someone else may be able to advise.
Thanks in advance!

Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky near the top of the forum threads' list, one page back from here, use the Forum Jump button to navigate there.
You do need to read and understand that sticky as you will have to do a bit of work to try to get rid of your problem. We will help and guide you, but won't be able to do it for you, so the more knowledge you gain about how to deal with this, the better you will handle it, and the more likely you will be successful. The sticky is very detailed, but for the moment post #1 (and #2 for explanation of acronyms) is all you need to get your head around at this stage.
Your friends should, individually, do the same too. Help each other through this. MET @ McDs are very beatable.
Go in (in parallel, not instead of using the newbies initial appeal) and see the manager - all three of you together might be a plan - complain to him (if he's not frying chips at the time!), show him your bank statements and the MET letter and demand he cancels this for good customers.
If he won't, never go back - and tell him you won't. I wouldn't be going back in any case, have you no concerns for your health? :shocked:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Will be having a better read in the morning, know the basics such as not ignoring the letters, seeing the manager, then appealing then going to the POPLA if that is unsuccessful just wanted to see if anyone else had been in a similar places as all examples seem to be single people and single charges
We won't be going back to that restaurant, it's just cheap and convenient after a very chilly dog walk!0 -

Please message both friends NOW and stop them shooting their toes off by rushing out a daft appeal as 'driver'. The first appeal is in the NEWBIES thread in blue writing but please do not copy & paste it here and ask 'is it this one?' or we will slowly die a bit more inside...
You will all very likely win at POPLA of you do this right. POPLA appeals are longer - NOT the same appeal again, so come back then.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

How I understand it is that only police and councils can issue fines/penalties. Private parking companies are not empowered to issue such things in any way shape or form.0
