    Morning all!

Trying to declutter, clean and tidy with a toddler in tow is a little stressful so currrently having a little sit down in the sofa before I try and put her down for a nap.

Husband is currently getting all our payslips and credit card statements together for a new mortgage application. I feel slight annoyance that we are not debt free as I assured myself we would be when we moved again. Ah well life happens.

Having a battle in my head again about getting the debt down vs saving up emergency savings. Perhaps if I pay off the little bits that are on there but keep the big things on there for the time being. We need to save up for some moving costs, a new mattress and a new laptop for me for the new year and I certainly don't want to put these on my cc because I haven't got any savings when the time comes.

I must just be patient, work hard and be as frugal as I can.

Oh I forgot to say yesterday that because of shopping at Aldi we have stayed on budget for groceries in July!!! Woohoo!!!!

Thanks Abba yes I think that is the sensible option. We don't want to get into anymore debt by cutting ourselves to the bone. I'm going to round each credit card down to the nearest £50 as I like round numbers and be done with it. They are both at 0% and they have been taken into account for our new mortgage so I don't know why I'm so worried.

When I sold and bought in 2015 it cost me £8k in estate agents and solicitors fees. Then when you move you want to buy blinds, a new kettle, new bedding etc etc

It's expensive moving, especially if you're like me and want your house looking lovely an do not want to wait!

I know what you mean but I still feel incredibly guilty for my splurge a few months ago which resulted in doubling our debt when we only had £2800 left to go.

I know I need to save some money and we are but I would feel better if I could pay off a few little items here and there as I fancy. Then it's the best of both worlds. I'd like my itemised spreadsheet to be a little less 'busy.' I was thinking since my last post that my credit card really needs to be gone before I quit my job as I don't have any expenses to pay for. At the moment it has £505 of holiday booked on it and £400 or dresser plus some other bits. The dresser will be paid off by October with the £100 minimum payment but the holiday still
Needs to go and I feel awful for booking it before having the money to pay for it upfront.

The house we like would just need a few pairs of curtains. We can live with the rest. Although we will need a new mattress soon. Now we have more ideas about mortgages and the money side of things I need to sit down and have a proper working out of things.

Still no offer on my house yet. A couple would like to but can't until theirs is sold.

Off to the seaside today even though it's not great weather.

    Have good days people!!

Got rain out from the beach so came home and I've been plotting and scheming. Got 16 boys on bay of e (finally) and looked at my diary to see if I can organise myself to incure minimum costs This holiday just by careful planning. When the kids have gone to sleep I'm going to do some financial planning.

    Morning all

So husband is off to work today and i have a bad back. Its been going on for a week or so but its not getting any better so I'm going to try and see the chiropractor today.

Otherwise a trip to the library to entertain the kids is on the cards and I'm going to vacuum my car out at the supermarket. Due to our set up at home I cant use my own vacuum on my imaginary drive without putting the kids at risk so its £2 spend today - a LSD.

Right must get on. Still need to do some financial planning but waiting for husband to get paid so i can see how much we have for the next 4 weeks.

    Evening all

What a horrible day weather wise! Didn't get to vacuum out my car as it puddles it down. Back is all strapped out though and feeling sorry for myself so currently getting a foot massage from the husband and enjoying admiring Chris Pratt in Jurassic world. Phwoar!!!

So husband didn't get the job. Both of us feel relieved because lots of change was happening quite quickly. At least now we can relax a bit and not feel so worried about mortgage applications.

Roll on husbands pay day xx
