Hiya everyone!
So today was my last day in my job, finished early which means i get an afternoon free before starting new job tomorrow
Although it was my payday yesterday it's nearly all gone and divided between other accounts etc.
Was a spendy day today -
Aldi food shop - £52
new wok/one pan - £12.99 Aldi
petrol £20
However food and petrol were both out of set envelopes, but the pan was a one off purchase.
Direct debit for my CC came out today too - £100 paid, always over pay minimum repayment is £25 i think. so that leaves my CC at £900 yay!

Started new job last Thursday and it was great, although a slow start as it's just setting up things but I am looking forward to starting my full week on Monday!
Money wise, OH didn't get paid as much as hoped so couldn't save as much as would like this month. No point in getting down about it though!
Does anyone else have experience of partners salary being considerably less than your own?
Doing well though with not spending frivolously, although had to buy the dog a new bed as he shredded his old one! I do however put £20 a side for his budget a month so that covered the bed.
I give my self and OH a £50 allowance each and I haven't touched mine yet which I am happy about! OH on the other hand has been frittering away his on football bets, so glad he doesn't have all the money!
Need to start thinking about Xmas presents soon! I've been making listsTesco Loan - 91770 -
Ok so things aren't going so great
had to use the savings this month as the washing machine packed up today!
This is where I should of saved an emergency fund.
So new plan is starting January going to save a £1000 emergency fund which will take 2 months. Then it will be cracking on to the debt.
What I am really struggling with is being very strict, I have it all in place with budgets etc but just finding it so difficult to stick to
Any tips you guys can give me?

Life just gets in the way doesn't it.
I started building an emergency fund during the summer and then in August had to use it to pay my plumber. Now it's going up again and I'm at £300. But at least I stayed out of my overdraft.
Keep going you're doing great!0 -
You can do it!
Start doing surveys like Opinion Wold, Ipsos, crowdology etc. These have helped me a good way getting gifts etc saving money.
Shop in Aldi/ Lidl if and where you can. Shove your change in a big bottle - end of the year I normally have £60-90.
I heard envelope system really helps where you put in envelope where money should be going too. rem to treat yourself sometimes xDebt (1/9/14) £6,702.11 Debt free (30/11/2016) mortgage port- £70,077.82 and mortgage £126,517.39 o/s currently
Debt - £17,190.83 (29/7/22) now (19/8/22) £16,688.800 -
Thanks guys,
The envelope system works really well for us, we need to cut back on the treats! I think I am also pressuring myself to get rid of this debt ASAP so feel down when I haven't saved the maximum I can!
Just going to enjoy Christmas and start again in Jan! XxTesco Loan - 91770
