Cheaper Phone Insurance

Last weekend I bought a new mobile phone with O2,and was told the insurance was £6/month.I said there was no way I was going to pay that much, and the girl told me I have 2 weeks to cancel it.

Sooooo, where can I get reasonably-priced insurance for a Samsung J3.Both my teenagers have their phones through Carphone Warehouse, and I am paying about £24 for the whole year for each of these(another J3 and a J5).On the off-chance,I went into CW to see if they would insure, but of course they only insure phones bought throughCW.The man their suggested something like protectmybubble.co.I will have a closer look at their website when I get home later, but who else do people recommend?

Thank you for any advice

The J3 and J5 are both lower priced phones at around £150 each. So you should consider not getting any insurance on them and just putting some money away each month to self insure the phones.

I've saved many thousands of pounds over the years by never taking out any insurance on low value items.
  • I opened a Nationwide FlexPlus account which has a fee of £10 per month and stipulates that two direct debits are set up. I have two direct debits set up and transfer money each month to cover them. This then gives me worldwide mobile phone insurance for up to four family members at the same address, UK and European breakdown and recovery, worldwide family travel insurance, extended warranty on appliances and 3% interest on £2500. This is a good deal for me as we travel abroad four times a year so would have to buy travel insurance and we have two cars which we would buy breakdown cover for.

It might be worth it for you if you would use any of the other benefits.
