Post Office Car Insurance - Canceling Advice

Hi
I would really appreciate some advice I currently have car insurance with the post office when I called on the 27th sep they said they needed to change my policy because I have decals on my car. I panicked and agreed to the changes as I was at work and they told me I would not be insured other wise. The total of the insurance comes to £710 paid monthly.
I then went on holiday on the 6th October I am now back at home and have found I can get the same insurance for £372. I am now worried how much it will cost to cancel the existing policy I have tried looking though my documentation and cannot find any information.
I know this is my fault for panicking but I would welcome any advice.
Thank you for reading.

The answer will be in the documentation. It'll either be in the schedule or policy booklet.0
-
All it says in the booklet is to call up to cancel and a phone number and this
Cancellation by you after the first 14 days
If you cancel this policy after the 14-day period we will refund a percentage of the premium calculated on a daily pro rata basis equivalent to the period of cover left unused, providing no claims have been made. If a claim has been made, or there has been an incident which may lead to a claim, no refund of premium will be given and all premiums would be due.0 -
So there's your answer. You'll be charged for the days you've been insured.
Post office is another BGL brand so you'll pay cancellation fees too. These will be outlined in the key facts document.0 -
So does that mean I will be charged from the 27th sep until tomorrow if I cancelled?0
-
Yes, plus a cancellation fee.
And BGL may have it in their T's & C's they can deduct any commission they would otherwise have been paid.
You'll find out the cost to cancel when you call.0
