Launching my own competitions

Hi, I'm an occasional comper (with a little success), but have been spending much of the last month setting up my own website (don't know if I can post the link here) selling pre-framed art prints & some sports memorabilia, having traded on eBay for around 7 years as a side line.
I'm thinking of running a small number of competitions to get traffic and followers to the site - hopefully leading to a few customers as well
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what they think will work - I'm thinking of going down the Gleam / Rafflecopter route on one of their free plans as it will help with facebook, pinterest and twitter followers at the same time.
It will probably be for unframed prints rather than the framed ones at this stage (cost and cashflow with a new sideline development!).
Thanks for reading - any comments greatly appreciated ! I did post the website link so people could see the sorts of product I'm selling, but didn't want it to seem like advertising.

Sorry, no you can't - it is seen as advertising and will be removed by the forum team - as well as it risking your accountbut have been spending much of the last month setting up my own website (don't know if I can post the link here)
Wouldn't bother with the Gleam / Rafflecopter - most members on here loath them and you probably won't get many entries.
You can not also post any of your own competitions on MSE for the same reason
Just go for the simple name/email entry form0 -
i run my own blog and have found I get most entries with a simple entry form. I have tried both gleam and rafflecopter but find the form better.Won a holiday every year since 2014......come on 2021!!
2020 Winnings Value £37500 -
Thanks for the responses both of you, so I'm not the only one who doesn't particularly enjoy Gleam or Rafflecopter competitions then!2020 wins: a nice box of chocolates.:-)0

I don't mind gleam or rafflecopter if they're simple and straightforward, it's the ones that want me to visit/like about 20 different pages on numerous social media platforms that really wind me up.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. I agree with others in that you can't use this forum to promote your own website. Nor can you post your own competitions here once its set up. Also agree re Raff and gleam etc. I won't enter those comps and avoid them all the time. If you're going to do it use a fair and simple form.August-September 2017: Lots of stuff
