If you are on a Fixed tariff some suppliers DD system will assume you will go onto the SVT after it expires, this will push your DD up.

I have the opposite problem - they keep trying to put mine down. Even though history and my spreadsheet (I give monthly readings & get a bill to that reading) says that if I stay the same I will break even in spring. As the forecasts seem to be for a bad winter I should really be paying more not less.
