Tesco Internet Saving

I want to open a tesco internet savings account as I have run out of direct debits to set up on interest paying current accounts.
Just wondering if you guys can help me with a couple of questions. Can I set up more than one direct debit per month for example on the 1st of the month from Current Account 1 & 1st of the month from current account 2? Also do I need to carry an amount in the saving account or can I just transfer it straight over to my current account earning better interest?
Thanks for your help.

I have 4 DDs, 3 going from BOS and 1 from Santander accounts, into each of my Tesco IS & IA. I keep 50p both accounts but I have run them with £0.00 before.0

Brilliant - thank you. Mine will be going to BOS too.0

I'd leave more than pennies in it, after all a fiver will cost you 15 pence pa0

How would it cost me?0

Lost interest by leaving a fiver in the savings account instead of nothing0

that;s right. fwiw i use the TIS to take a DD from 10 current accounts, and i just let it accumulate for a few months at a time. with interest and rewards coming in, it feels like a nice bonus when you can withdraw £500 or so:)0

Mine is straight out and into a higher interest account. I don't leave any more than £1 in mine.0
