Hope this hasn't been asked before but could somebodly tell me please if Sainsbury's Savings Account are handled by one of the big banks or themselves?

They're an arm of HBOS, it's in the T&C iirc.0

AFAIK
They are 50/50 with Bank of Scotland who are merged with Halifax to form HBOS.0 -
But Sainsbury's have their own licence and only 50% with HBOS so the compensation scheme applies separately to them from Halifax, BOS, BM or IF0
