  • Afternoon all, have been busy but not too well yesterday, I must have eaten something that disagreed with me. Better today and have eaten a bread roll as was starting to feel rather wambly.

Yesterday I had to go shopping for something I couldn't find, then saw a friend and then OH AND I went to see a house. Looked good on Rightmove but was less good in the flesh. I'd have rented it but not bought it IYSWIM

OH v disappointed in me when I couldn't eat last night, I did manage a bite or two but no point if it is going to make you unweller.

House now festooned with damp washing, must go and get another load done.

Hope everyone has as good a day as possible.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

I'm glad your tum is feeling a bit better today.

My leg is an interesting shade of bluish purple after yesterday's "contretemps" as Mr LW called it; but I managed to apply bruise balm (dunno what's in it, I bought it at the Wytches Market, but it's darned good stuff) straight away, so not too painful, thankfully. Thank you for the healing/good wishes.:o

I've made a "lemming cake" which will do for our dessert for the next few days (we ate up the last of the blackberry'n'apple crumble yesterday) and as has become our habit on Sundays of late, dins will be veggie toad-in-the-hole.

Not a lot else going on in the Wolves Lair - Mr LW is busy polishing shoes (a task I loathe with a passion) and we shall need to take Jack Spaniel out for a walk shortly.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I'm back in my own nest after not going shopping nor going to the museum! Mum was too tired and I CBA'd to drive across to the south side. The weather is so clear and bright and sunny that I drove home via a shopping stop in Helensburgh and then along the wibbly-wobbly road. I really enjoy that route even though it's longer and slower.

On the way down on Friday I drove a different route which took me high over the Clyde estuary, so high that there was a magnificent view of our nuclear deterrent and all the buildings and so on. I'd never seen it from that height before and stopped to have a better look. Along the bottom road there's still the old Faslane peace encampment with battered campervans and treehouses etc. New slogan is 'bulbs not bombs'.

Mum has emailed to say she's found the missing item! Phew...is all I can say. She's sent me home with a large mohair throw of hers, I hate mohair as it's very annoying to skin. Perhaps I'll use it as foot throw on the bed - don't know what to do with it.

The afternoon light is still glorious but cold. Think I'll take a cup of tea outside and sit there for a while, shake off the driving.

Lamewolf - ouch! Perhaps your cream is arnica which is great for bruises.
  • We went to DD1's and took 2yo DGD with us, her cousins were really pleased to see her and they all played together.

DD collected her curtains, my L&M plumbed in her DW & WM, then we came home took the dog and DGD to the lock and to the play park.

I did cottage pie for lunch with ice cream for afters.

DGD & dog are both fast asleep, I may have a nana nap to.

    Hugs Hester
