FDA coming up...HELP

Hi All,

Thanks for reading, Please bear with me.

I have the FDA coming up beginning of next month and we were supposed to exchange form E's at the beginning of this month, I had sent over up to date statements to my sol, and was expecting some sort of response from them, but nothing. I rang him up a day or so after to ask what was happening and he said him and xh sol decided not to go ahead with exchanging as they had been already exchanged by my previous sol.(who left the firm over the summer, of which i was only informed after she left) back in May 2016.
I was a bit disappointed as to why i was not consulted before they made this decision off their own back.

I did try to speak to my new sol about this and put to him that it may possibly be helpful if forms were exchanged again as it may bring up new information. He said its unlikely and only worth doing it if there is a considerable change in income of other party, which is unlikely, also he didn't want to bump up costs for me. Its a fixed fee firm and the previous form E i sat down and filled out myself when my sol asked me to do as much as i could, i ended up filling the whole thing over a space of a few days as it was quite confusing, she proceeded to type it up neatly and scan the relevant documents before sending over to other side in May.

There were quite a few bits of information missing on my xh form e, for eg

My questions as we are due to submit our form E's along with chronology and statement of issues etc end of this month, with the missing details outlined above would it be best to exchange updated form E's again or just go ahead submitting previous form E's and attend FDA early next month?

Is it allowed for my solicitor to not inform me that she will be leaving the firm, and then my case is transferred to another solicitor within same firm?

Also is there anything i can do if i feel my new sol isn't really doing much in terms of my case, and doesn't seem to be taking me seriously in comparison to the previous sol? It seems like he is avoiding doing any more work than what was already done by previous sol, I am currently waiting on him to send over a draft of the questionnaire to be submitted within next few days for my approval which i think may have to chase him on Monday about just in case he doesn't get back to me.

I am not very confident that my new sol is fighting my corner as much as the old one who did outline to me that due to the youngest child (who is 13) being with me and my reduced mortgage capacity due to my low income, means my needs are greater and therefore i am entitled to a higher share of the proceeds of sale of FMH.

What if anything can/should i do?

Thank you for reading till the end.
