OK well I will pass on what I've learnt, thank you.
As I said before, I thought it was not going to be that simple. It could never be kept a secret, but she was hoping that the children might be able to get the benefit rather than it being thrown away like the rest of their assets of the past 20 years have been.
But it looks as if there is some hope that it could be disregarded, as the marriage has already broken down before the inheritance comes, which is good news.0 -

Have they officially separated? If so, how long have been living separately? Are there any other assets left? Does he have a pension for instance? If so, maybe there could be a compromise as such as she gets the inheritance, he gets to keep his pension (as an example).0
