I wanted to buy some dollars and decided to go to Thomson’s. I checked their website and printed the voucher for an ‘exclusive special rate’.
When I went to the high street shop and, without mentioning the voucher, I asked how many dollars I could get for my cash.
After the girl told me the rate I produced the ‘exclusive special rate’ voucher and asked what the exclusive rate would be.
She said that they were ’giving everyone the exclusive rate today’ and there would be no difference.
Just goes to show that their voucher isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

I think you are expecting too much from a marketing gimmick ... it sort of reminds me of those vouchers you get for McDs/KFC/PH/BK etc. where they say the voucher must be shown BEFORE placing order ... why?
