Mostly to the new breed of Basic Accounts offered by the banks: That was stated to be the reason why Secure Trust Bank withdrew it's current account. There are quite a large number of prepaid accounts and cards available but none of them with FSCS protection.
Secure Trust Bank itself is a fully-fledged bank, a subsidiary of Arbuthnot but other prepaid accounts use the services of external banks, some in a tree of issuer and bank.
Do you think ones like think bank, icount are any good or are they basically prepaid cards but managed0
