Thanks for the comments.
I do like a big fluffy one as I get the impression of being snuggily with it but have considered wool before.
The current best seller on Amazon is a Silent Night Ultrabounce 10.5 tog, £20.0 -
just make sure that they are not noisy. We bought a goose down one, not cheap but it rustled badly, i presume it was the cover, I hardly slept a wink and they are not returnable for obvious reasons.
I dont know if they can get round that one with the Distance selling rules mind.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Dunelm have them hung so you can touch them, this might help avoid the horribly noisy and crispy covers. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

That will be much too hot for the spring/summer and perhaps too cold for the winter unless you have an electric blanket or don't feel the cold. I would always go for an all seasons. It doesn't matter that you don't put them together - we don't either as we have an electric blanket in the winter which warms the bed up sufficiently.0 -
been there, done that.
I genuinely believe you get what you pay for
Spent an obscene amount of money on a goose down from JL. It's so light it feels like there is no weight on top of you. Very very warm.
After night 1 both SWIMBO and I said it was money well spent0 -
I buy supermarket own brand as frankly we use & abuse our duvets something shameful.
I have slept under down and it was blissful, just himself is allergic, so once a merry widow, I'll be investing in eider. Til then...
As I get sent around a bit, I have asked hotels what sort of duvet I've slept under (if a particularly good night) - may be one way of trying before you buy?!0
