OK - I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I clearly said I don't condone doing such a thing. I was trying to be light hearted.

I had a momentary brain lapse and forgot that we now live in a time where you can't joke without offending someone.

Oh, and I did suggest an alternative to poisoning further up in my post. Not sure that's a good idea either though as the powder may itch the poor cat's nose while it's taking a sh*t on my grass and make the poor thing sneeze. We wouldn't want that now - have you ever sneezed while having a poo - it gets everywhere ;-)

Oh, and to the person who asked how i'd like it if my child ate it - antifreeze contains bitrex these days to stop children and animals consuming it. Bitrex is a foul tasting substance designed to stop harmful products being eaten.

So, to anyone who's dashed off to halfords to pick up some antifreeze after reading my first post - I'm sorry, you've wasted your money as the cats (or children) won't eat it anymore. I'll wait to hear from you solicitor when you sue me for telling you to buy antifreeze and it hasn't done the job you bought it for.
  • Likewise anyone who went out and bought a blunderbuss.

Cos of course I was totally serious in suggesting it would rid you of your moggy problem small-laughing-smiley-emoticon.gif

If you're getting that much poo on the lawn everyday I think I would do a bit of detective work to try and find out if it is indeed cats after all. Cats are pretty clean animals and if one deposited a turd right in the middle of your lawn, the next cat to come along would turn around and go and find a cleaner toilet to use somewhere else. So it seems unlikely that all of the neighbourhood cats would repeatedly be pooing on the same lawn.
Do you have any immediate neighbours with dogs? We used to get a lot of what we assumed was cat poo on our lawn - it turned out it was our anti-social neighbour picking up poo from her 5 dogs and lobbing it over the wall.

My dog is very effective! Like me, she loathes cats.

Hi. Problem with approx 50 cats in a small area and finding up to 15 deposits on the lawn every day

    Thank you

If it really is cats it sounds like a major territorial dispute going on! It's called middening when cats poo in an open space like a lawn, and don't cover their deposit. It's a way of marking territory as their own.

Se if you can find the anti climb paint at Aldi, 99p in ours as they have been unable to sell it all.

applied on the top of all fence entry/exit points should make the place less palatable.

we have a few that still venture in but they run as soon as they see someone now as they get the hose treatment if they hang about.
They used to stop at the fence to see if we went back in.

yesterday one did a poo then moved over to the decking and proceed to clean itself.

when more than one arrive they just lie down and stare each other out till disturbed or get fed up.

dried brambles along the top of the fences is limiting their exit routs when they do a runner.
