Mistake on PCN

Hi, I received a PCN however they made a mistake on and put my license plate incorrect. I have checked on their website and they do have pictures of my car. Do I need to still appeal this or as they have made a mistake on the PCN can I just ignore it? Thanks

    Already answered. Which PPC?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I know sorry I'm new and I just saw this after I created this one. The PPC is UKPC.

Same advice then - wait and see.

I suspect a NTK will follow in a month so keep that PCN safe as evidence for POPLA later, that the NTK fails to repeat the information in the PCN and that first document does not contain the required info for a Notice to Driver as it omits the proper VRN.

The NEWBIES FAQS thread shows you the appeal to use but in your case, NOT YET!! And do not tell them who was driving in any appeal or you throw the points about the PCN and NTK pretty much in the bin with the 'no keeper liability' winning argument (for a keeper only, of course) going down the drain.

Read the NEWBIES thread over the weekend and keep that PCN safe.

  • That's brilliant thanks.
