Russian aircraft carrier off the coast ..Now spotify is down..This really looks like the end for the western world.

    Not really.

MacDonalds, Starbucks and Greggs are still operating so normal life can carry on. :D

I rebooted my router a number of times, thinking that it might the problem.

Nice to know it wasn't my equipment anyway.

DNS federation may solve the weak point, but there's always going to be a bottleneck of one or another form. All these over the top protocols like DNS, SMTP were built with a civilised world in mind, not the savagery of spammers, scammers, spies etc. Early internet used to be such a nice, innocent place. Somewhere, a friend still has a printout of Yahoo, the whole of Yahoo, back before Google, when they were relevant.

Anyone on Virgin media? All I am getting is DNS errors and no internet.. connecting to the modem and router status pages all seems to be working.. just no sites. Tried alternative dns servers and of course rebooting everything.. nope. Ran virgin self test which didnt help. Typing this on my phone...

I know Branson doesnt own virgin media now but perhaps its been targeted because he had a pop at Trump?

Toasters, Kettles, Fridges and Thermostats. The "Things" are rising up and taking over, as predicted in Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive.

Will anyone think twice before ordering a cheap electronic gadget from China? :)
Especially one that connects to your WIFI or phone.

I wonder if my cheap U8 watch would have been working away if the battery had not died and i forgot to recharge it?
