Time to go for a new fixed deal?

I'm currently with GB Energy, on a fixed, no-penalty-for-leaving, dual fuel deal and I'm happy with it.

But now that oil is going up, i'm wondering if it's a good time to switch, although it might be to a slightly more expensive deal.

What do people think?

How long is your current deal on till?

There is no crystal ball as to prices. It is all a gamble.

Considering we are heading into winter, where most of your annual energy use is used and bills are highest, you are probably best being on the cheapest deal available to you now. If that is your current deal, stick with it.

If it is due to end next month however, I would start looking to compare and switch.

Basically, there is no right answer to give. We can't second guess the market and trying to could be a bit futile.

My deal ends next March. Yes, you're probably right, best to wait 'til nearer then.
