Number plate on PCN wrong

Hi I received a parking ticket today I caught him and said his gone to far and he gave me the ticket and instead of ej16 ××× he put ej61 ××× but I think he took pictures can I get away with this??

It is thought by many that writing an incorrect VRN is deliberate in the hope that the motorist will contact the PPC and give away the driver's details.

If a picture was taken, the PPC will obtain the keeper's details for the correct vehicle. It is of course possible that someone else will get the wrong NTK instead and they will then have the hassle of appealing it.

Please read the Sticky thread for NREWBIES. If/when the NTK arrives, compare it with the windscreen ticket. The details have to match. That doesn't make it invalid, it just means you should have a winning appeal point.

What is the name of the PPC please.

Council PCN or private one?

Either way, do NOTHING YET and wait for the NTO (Council) or NTK (private parking firm). Keep the PCN safe because it will be needed as proof later on if this is followed by a letter.

If it is a private firm, which one?

Is the car yours on the V5? Not a hired/company car?
