Hi Guys,
Bought a cooker online with a 2 year guarentee.
After 6 months it keeps switching itself off and the RCD and MCB also switch off.
I have contacted the company several times and all they do is send out a technician who changes the element or timer, says it's not faulty, then the company say they can't do anything else if the cooker isn't faulty. They even tried to blame my electrics.
(Only recently been rewired, and were checked out as OK for an unrelated issue)
I feel the cooker maybe even dangerous as you really aren't supposed to keep resetting a faulty appliance are you?
I have asked for a replacement cooker or a refund but I have received neither.
Am I entitled to either and how would I write a complaint letter?

Six months on you'll need to show there is an inherent fault. To do this, you'll need to arrange and pay for an independent inspection. If the inspection agrees with your prognosis, then you'll be entitled to a full reimbursement of the inspection costs and a repair/ refund.
If the company state there is no fault, then perhaps your newly rewired electrical system is in fact to blame as they suggest?0 -

Who is 'the company'? Are they the manufacturer or the seller?0
