Financial Advice/ make money/ monty income/ ideas?

Ok I am just on here writing to get some views, recommendations on what people might think. Firstly here is my situation I have currently left the forces after serving for a period of time. Have a new job and in my early 30's I have a good pension sorted already from this so that isn't an issue for me. I currently have a house which is worth approximately 175,00 with an outstanding mortgage of 75K I rent this property out already which covers the mortgage and then some. I also have a second property which I live in with my wife which has an outstanding mortgage of 195K between us. I am due to be inherit some money and with savings etc I will be looking at having about £40K. Both have ISA's that are currently full. We both work and both have pensions My question really is what people would recommend we do with the money wise? Looking to make an an additional monthly income, unsure whether to put it down on annother house generally have no clue or plan what soever so all ideas and suggestions are welcome. Would prefarbly like to retire early or work part time, Dreaming I know but no harm in that.

Are you a higher rate tax payer?

If yes go down the Sipp route for the tax relief
