When i now turn on my computor and select Mozilla Firefox the Yahoo.com homepage is different to the usuall format.Does anybody know if Yahoo have changed there homepage or is it something i have done to my computer?
It is not a major problem but the old format had the local weather displayed and also the FTSE 100 listed but the new one has not.

Thanks Ganga

  • Are you logging in to Yahoo? If you do you should get your personalised home page, but if your login expires you'll get a generic version.

I started Yahoo in IE and in Firefox and the home pages looked the same as each other and as it has done for a while. If you have a Yahoo log in, then use it and customise your page. I think you can still customise it but then you have to do it again next time you open it.

If you have a Yahoo account you can customise your home page and access it at my.yahoo.com. Changes are not lost provided you stay logged in. Set this as your home page and your personalised layout will appear when you open your browser.

Thanks for the help,i also logged in in Internet explorer and it takes me to the same home page. The main difference is the advert under the main header used to have an x on it so you could delete it whilst browsing and the new page only allows you to " collapse this add/i dont like it " and the sub headings for mail, sport, finance etc were down the left hand side and choice of subjects of interest were in tiles than ran along the top of the page in groups of about 5 and you could click on next set etc.I suppose i will just have to get used to this new format.
Thanks again for all the help/info

Yes, I don't like the new page either. I think they've changed it due to the hacking scandal.

Install UBlock origin into FF and get rid of the ads.

I prefer the new look, it is less cluttered and loads quicker. As RumRat has said uBlock Origin will kill the ads, trackers etc...
