Has anyone experience of saving with the subject firm ? Their savings products appear to be too good to be true, but they are covered by the FDA comp scheme.

What is the FDA compensation scheme? I can see some reference to the civil service but nothing to do with deposits.
There is no Robert Brooks Ltd on the FCA register. So, they are not authorised to retail regulated financial products to consumers in the UK.
The postcode for Robert Brooks Ltd is a virtual office. Not a real one.
The FSCS details on their website are wrong.
The photo of Dan Hawkins – Senior Partner on their website is a stock photo. It appears on many other sites including "4 ways to handle your narcissistic boss" http://www.payscale.com/career-news/2014/05/4-ways-to-handle-your-narcissistic-boss
or smart answers for tricky questions: http://www.cvservicesreview.co.uk/cv-tips/interview-questions.html
Dan Hawkins, if you go by his photo, also appears to be known as Jeff G, Business manager of LeaseMax. And also known as David Carswell or Craig W of Incredible Auto Sales... and many others.
Dan Hawkins also does not appear on the FCA register. There is one Active Daniel Hawkins but he is with a different company at a different address.
Should also add that companies house has them as dormant company (non-trading) since it was incorporated in 2007. In other words, the company was set up in 2007 but never became active and hasnt started trading.

Not looking very good is it?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
How did you come to hear about them?
Although their website has Copyright 2007 on some of the pages, the domain name appears to have first been created less than two months ago, and their website appears to be hosted in Bulgaria, on a server that seems to be hosting 490 other websites.
However, the actual owner of the website will be hard to trace, as they have hidden their details behind a privacy service.
They also don't appear to have quite finished off their website, so if you look around you can find some links like this:

I would also think twice about shaking hands with him:

I have to admit, I always like these threads when someone, usually a first time poster (often self promoting spam?) posts about something dodgy and we proceed to take it apart. However, this has to be one of the funnier ones.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. CEO 'Fabrice Jacquier' is also known as the author Ron Taylor (https://www.amazon.com/Ron-Taylor/e/B003TYA8GU) and also as 'handsome smiling CEO' on stock images pages. Plus 'Doctor Moly' suspects he may have a urinary tract infection.

The Compliance Officer on the about us page is also not listed on the FCA register. Compliance officers must hold CF10 permissions with the FCA. So, another breach there.
Plus, she also goes by the name Joan Coates http://atecmanagement.com/about-us/
(another stock photo)
They also say they are financial advisers on their website - they are not. Again, no permissions held.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The FAQ provide more information re FSCS and regulation by FCA.

Still in bargepole territory though:p0 -
Assuming nobody has yet reported them to ActionFraud, I shall now proceed to do so
EDIT: Done now.
The ActionFraud reporting process is quite painful but I persevered and hopefully someone will shut down robertbrooksltd.com before long.

The problem is that they are not regulated but they claim to be financial advisers. So, there is no protection on advice. Also, it almost certain that they are facilitating bonds which do not have FSCS protection on product. So, neither the retail or the product gets FSCS. How they describe the FSCS in their footer is wrong.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
