Demo car Buying Advice
Hi good morning everyone..
I was looking to buy a nissan qashqai and found a car in bristol street motors (n connecta 2016 / 5k miles/ demo car) for 17k. They agreed to give me 50% as 0% finance over 60 months (and 50% and deposit). The salesman asking me to pay 50% deposit before i coming in to collect the car. Is it unusual? I am paying the money using my debit card (paid £100 deposit from my credit card). Any of you have any kind of experience like this?
thanks in advance

Duplicated post. Whats unusual about someone asking for you to pay for something that you want?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

- If you are just going to have a look then yes it is unusual.
- If you have firmly agreed to buy the car then it is not unusual.
Given you said "collect the car" then I guess the latter.0 -
Yes I am agreed to buy the car. I haven't seen the car yet - they emailed me video of the car. I haven't bought a car from a garage before, so don't have a clue. I have to travel almost 200 miles to get the car.
thanks mate0 -

If you've not physically been to see the car, don't pay the 50% deposit. The £100 will be sufficient. You'll have a massive fight on your hands to get it back if you're not happy with the car upon inspection.0
