Trying to switch to E.ON

I've been supplied with gas/electric by EDF since March. In June, I had credit meters fitted. My attempt to switch to E.ON's Home Saver V1 tariff failed and, after much to-ing and fro-ing, it has finally transpired that this was due to the national database showing that I still had prepayment meters. After the database has been updated, is it possible that E.ON would reconsider my application for this tariff, or would I be wasting my time?

Good morning ChaunceyGardiner and welcome to the forums
You'll need to let your current supplier get the data base and meter details all updated first, then you can start your switch.
If we still have the tariff available you'll be able to go on to it, you'll need to request that specific tariff via the third party sites as it's not one you can change to via the phone or our website.
Let me know if I can help any more, always happy to.
Thank you

The registers for Gas & Electric are completely seperate - National Register for Gas and Regional one's for Elec.
True it takes a little time for meter changes to flow through the system to the Registers, but June until October for both is ridiculous.
In fact meter changes are not done by EDF, the meters are owned and operated by the Power/Gas distribution companies for your area, but your point of contact with them can only be via EDF, so it's to them that you must WRITE your letter headed Complaint
Google 'Who supplies my Gas & Elec', this will give you the phone Nos of the Gas & Elec registers - Phone calls to them will tell you what meters are are registered to your address on that day - Keep calling weekly till they tell you it's the correct one's and start your Switch on that day0 -
Great stuff, thanks for your replies.0
