I got the registration wrong

Got a PCN through the post saying that I hadn't got ticket / pictures of the car etc.

I did have a ticket for the whole day - and even have it scanned into a file as I had to reclaim parking from employers. HOWEVER it was one of the machines that required the car reg and I got one of the letters wrong.
Anyone know if there is any hope with appealing for something like this?

You have proof you paid and that's 99% of it.
Who is the scamming PPC ?

It's easy to enter the wrong digit but the parking scammers will never accept this.

So guess your ticket shows all the reg number bar one wrong digit

    Who are the scammers

Absolutely! - but don't rely on what actuay happened for your appeal as PPCs generally don't care one whit about the facts.

Have a good read of the Newbies Sticky to inform yourself and see the range of options for seeing them off. Also tell us which PPC issued the ticket. We know the MO of virtually all of them and should be able to point you at the best way to couch a challenge.

Ah was trying to work it out from the PCN and at the bottom it says "civil enforcement" - just checked the ticket, that hasn't got a name on it

Assuming this is Civil Enforcement Limited, please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES, then send the BPA template in blue you will find there. Copy and paste, and send. Do not edit it.

CEL cases are all the same. All winnable by the keeper. CEL do not use the POFA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
