Evening folks - am new to the forums and need some advice
am determined to be organised for xmas this year and want to buy some (good) headphones for our first xmas as husband and wife (how romantic, i know) but am a bit clueless when it comes to these kinda things...
now normally he would be the person to ask but since he's the one the gift is for i am hoping someone here can help?
Have been looking at Senheiser headphones online and they look and sound pretty good...i remember the hubby talking about noise reduction ones and thats about it...but surely they are all pretty good?
Anyway - me personally....i like the look and the idea of the wireless kinds....
Sennheiser RS120 Headphones
but these looked pretty good too (but have wires) Senheiser HD515 Headphones
can anyone point me in the right direction - or am i on the complete wrong direction??
all help appreciated x

Links not working for me...
B/F has Sennheiser HD555s - he read a lot fo reviews and decided they were the ones for him. (Think they're designed for music but he uses them on the computer)
I found them cheapest at the time on Amazon. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Both headsets seem to get mixed reviews, but I suppose it's all down to personal choice.
The HD515's can be had for £45 from Amazon instead of the £80 John Lewis want.
The RS120's can also be had for £45 if you search around instead of the £60 at JL.Dave. :wave:0 -
I use a pair of (wired) HD580Precision. I've had them for years now and they are still great.0

I bought a pair of HD595s from Amazon and think they're amazing. I paid £85 against a list price of £149. There are a few models that are cheaper but look the same and are pretty much the same spec, the 555s and 515s I think. I found it useful to look on the Sennheiser website to work out which model is which.
Anyway, I don't think much of wireless since it's introducing another element into the system and that must lose some of the quality.Happy chappy0 -
i use wireless headphones on my PC at home albeit cheaper ones and certainly not Sennheiser but the quality isn't the same as wired so it depends on how much quality you want really ? for Stereo Gaming it's adequate0

have both wired and wireless sennheiser headphones with noise reduction, both pretty good but wired much better claritySave 12k in 2020 #19 £12,429.06/£14,0000

Generally speaking, wireless headphones are not as good quality as wired ones. If you're looking for a good quality pair of headphones, I'd avoid the wireless ones.
Grado SR60s and SR80s have also received good reviews - might be worth a look.0
