I've been entering competitions since the 1980's, won my fair share including cars and holidays, but there was a spell in the mid-2000's where for over 3 years I won absolutely nothing, nada, zilch, not even a plastic apron. This was incredibly demoralising and I almost chucked it in, but it passed and the wins came back. Just got to keep going, the thrill when you do get that win will be amazing.0

Thanks guys!
If and when I do win something, I'll be sure to post it straightaway! And good luck to you all. Maybe Christmas will bring us all a little treat this year :-)0 -
Just keep at it, there's nothing to lose really!
I have to say I've been feeling rather unlucky recently too. 4+ ago I would win at least one thing a month, generally small make up bits but I also won a holiday once too!
In the last few years the well has appeared to dry up a bit, I don't know if there's just less out there, more compers or maybe I'm not spending as much time as I used to. Just gotta keep those fingers crossed that something is waiting around the corner!0 -
Another one here!
Been on here for about 3-4 years used to win a lot, well I say alot... a couple wins every few months! But the last year and a half I've actually won zilch! I use twitter, facebook etc and still! But I carry on and keep my fingers crossed!
Wish I could give us all some luck! XStarted 2011
Lost count but from 2019- £750
2020- perfume, GIN, bag - approx 300£
2021- 150 voucher,
2022- book
2023- £1000 -
I think its getting harder and harder but have to say as others have that entering 200 a week isn't a lot. It seems on average people win 1 comp for every 1000 entered. obviously thats higher or lower for some. I probably enter at least 2000 a week. If you only enter certain ones you will get a win eventually but it could take a lot longer as your odds are lower.August-September 2017: Lots of stuff

I had some good wins in August and early September but nothing since.
Just keep plugging away at it - one good win will make it all seem worth while.
Some people on here are constantly winning and have no idea why they are so lucky.
Maybe they comp from morning till night or don't work :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
It's disheartening when you don't win but keep at it and surely you will win something soon! When I started out about 4 years ago I was winning something once in around every 1000 comps but that's dwindled now to maybe one in 5000
I think the main reason is that there are so many other people at it now compared to a few years back.
I had a terrible January to November last year, barely winning a thing, but then between late November and late December I won £2,000 cash; a £200 Love2Shop voucher; a whole set of new tyres; plus a few other bits like days out and DVDs. I think that was my luck for the year all rolled into a few weeks. This year has been quite dry again, with just the odd voucher here and there (and nothing over £50). I've often found over the years that my wins will be feast or famine, with a few good ones coming one after the other but then nothing for ages.
My best advice would be to try and up your entries - enter for smaller prizes you'd like, such as books, DVDs etc - I'm guessing that if you're only entering 200 a week, that's mostly for stuff like TVs, cash etc which literally EVERYONE will be entering. Try and cast your net further - the more "raffle tickets" you have, the more likely one will be a winning one! Best of luck xx0 -
Mathematically speaking 200 a week is very low and so your odds are slashed. As said many time before in threads the average seems to be one win per 1000 entered. lots enter at least 200 a day if not more. Maybe up your entries a bit.August-September 2017: Lots of stuff

The thing is, if you only enter 200 a week you're probably quite selective and go for high value prizes where the number of entrants will be huge and your chance of winning will be teeny! I agree with you in that I don't go for prizes that are of no use to me- eg no baby and toddler stuff, no tickets to places I can't get to or holidays that we couldn't take the kids on. However, there are many comps for smaller prizes that are lovely to win so I would recommend you make these your "bread and butter" and only do the high value stuff when you've a bit of extra time. I'd especially try Goodreads if you're a reader. Of course a big, life changing win would be amazing but any win is exciting and will totally make your day, I promise you.0
