Are you saying you've received their written defence with statements from said mechanics?
So far they have just sent a counter claim form back and we're at Directions Questionairre, but in their opening defence reply they've said they've had 2 independent mechanics look at it and both have said it was bad fuel quality.

Going by the OP's forum name ... can we assume that the garage folk are sexist and think they're "only dealing with a dumb woman, she'll believe what we tell her"? (That's the impression I'm getting).

I'd call the garage folk Neanderthals, but that's disrespectful to Neanderthals.
Yes, I am a woman and they when visiting they have called me 'sweetheart' a lot *rolls eyes*

Not relevant, but to give the OP a smile (on her pretty little face....;))

A neighbour heard of my successful complaint to (and money back from) Yorkshire water some years back.... so he stormed off to his phone, red-faced, to demand the same...

I could tell the conversation was ... not going well.... "pet".. "love" may not have been helping ... ....

Then we got to a "..... Look here, Missy...." and ....

The call was audibly and abruptly terminated. He kept the pretence of talking for a further minute.... Came back, claiming all sorted, and stomped out of his house....
