    I've not heard of this particular tame law firm before, but most companies of this type prefer telephone contact as its easier for them to bully a more agreeable (for them) arrangement out of you.

    This is pricisley the reason they dont respond to letters very well.

    As long as you keep up with repayments it will be hard for them to escalate the matter, in any case these so called "solicitors" usually just manage these accounts for some DCA or other, who may be the real owner of the debt.

    If they dont like the arrangement, they will simply sell the account on again to another debt collector, with whom the dance will begin all over again.

  • Just to give a quick update on this, have continued to pay towards it but still not ever had anything back from them

    My only concern is I have never had an official acceptance of the repayment plan I put forward to them although nothing seems to be coming back to me the other way either so will just continue to pay it
