Heated throws

I must tell you, I bought a lovely one from a well known store. It wasn't cheap but was nice and cosy. Unfortunately, soon after I began using it, I experienced strange little tingling sensations on my body and my scalp. I do believe some people experience this and it doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with it. I tried to use it a couple more times to be sure and the same thing happened. I remember now, when I tried my sister's heated throw, I experienced the same but had forgotten. I don't think I can continue to use it and will pass it on to a relative to try out in the hope that it will be ok for them.
Strange things happen to me, so I'm not surprised. Watches stop working or go slow when I put them on, the battery kind I mean.
Oh well, it's back to my normal fleecy throws and, (Lorian), possibly a tasteful woolly hat to match.0 -

Not sure if it's any help but look into electromagnetic issues within the body. It is a thing, I've known others who have had issues similar to yours (computers freezing, lights flickering on/off etc).
I don't know if there is a cure or even anything that can be done to stop these things happening but that was what I was told 15 years ago on talking in passing to a friend who had these symptoms.
It could also be worth looking into studies and research into the issue as some will pay if you lend them your time and experience. Choose wisely though; some research studies can be more intrusive than others!0 -
I've been looking for one too - I missed the Aldi offer, which was earlier this month online https://www.aldi.co.uk/p/67323/0
There might be some available instore though so it could be worth checking out the local store.
Or, there's Robert Dyas http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/connect-it-brown-heated-throw?istCompanyId=bf3344d9-83f5-4abd-b69a-da131f7567d1&istItemId=xlaapartt&istBid=tztx&gclid=CM6b17nw988CFa8y0wod53EFQw0 -
Beige on offer here, free shipping. Must emphasise that I have never bought from them before so might need a little investigation before committing!

UPDATE: Now happily received, lovely quality. Judging by the temperature this morning this will be put to very good use!
Ordered on 27th, despatched 28th, received on 3rd Nov (weekend in between so perfectly happy with that). Sent by RM with tracking.
Paid with Paypal as I'd never used them before. No confirming email from the seller that my item was being processed/dispatched, but I phoned to check and the young man I spoke to was very helpful and confirmed that all was in order. I'd certainly order from them again.0 -
Just to let you know that when I asked to return it, I was told that such throws are non-returnable for hygiene reasons. I hadn't thought of that.0
