Price is back up today (will take the extra couple of jars I added off tomorrow's delivery now - only saw this thread yesterday, so looks like I missed the boat
).
But, the plus side is, according to the website, every jar that's been bought since Sept 19th (and until Oct 2nd) means a 5p donation to the British Red Cross. Nothing indicating it's only online, so think of all the money that's been raised

It may have been a mistake. I ordered online on Sunday, the price was £1 with no mention of an offer, so no expiry date. When the shopping was delivered on Monday I was charged £2.18, looked online & the price had gone up to £2.18. Phoned up & got the differance refund OK. Earthmother, if you ordered online & have the email to confirm the price of £1, you should beable to claim a refund of the differance aswell.Next year we'll be millionaires!0

Drat, we took our 4 bottles back to the store for a refund after also ordering online on Sunday: I didn't know you could ring up. Presumably its because it wasn't an "offer" witrh an expiry date, as it goes on about the price you pay being the price instore on the day the shopping is delivered, not the day you order it?Derek_Duval wrote: »It may have been a mistake. Derek_Duval - I didn't have them in the end - had only ordered them to stock up at a good price.
However, I did have a couple of other items on the order where the price went up between Monday ordering and Tuesday delivery - but when I queried them, I was just told 'that's the way it goes' - worth a try though - I suppose it all depends on who you get at the call centre.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
It certainly does seem to depend on the person at the end of the phone. I've exactly the same problem having ordered 6 jars which will keep me going for a year at the lower price and them arriving at the higher. All very annoying.
I hate this price difference with internet shopping. Tesco regularly seem to charge me more when the items are actually delivered - I can't think of a similar online retailer who could get away with this sort of scenario: if you placed an order with Amazon and it turned up 2 days later costing 10-15% more you'd probably tell them what they could do with it. I'm rapid going off Tesco online for groceries, it's supposed to be quicker but I end up having to wait for the driver who takes an age to unload and then spend 15 mins checking the delivery and chasing errors or rummaging around for the replacement items I don't want.I do hope you're telling the truth?0
