Hi
I reset my laptop in an effort to reverse from windows 10 back to windows 7, but have lost all my office software. Is there any free office software available online which is compatible with MS Office documents as I have some I urgently need access to.thanks

WPS Office and LibreOffice are the two most popular.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I'm not sure if google docs is compatible.
If you've got a tablet computer (eg. iPad) you may be able to get MS Office free.
I don't know if Office 365 has any free trials.
(Incidentally, though too late in this case, you can get a tool to list all of your MS product keys so that you can make a note of them in case you find you need to reinstall. I use ProduKey, but there are others too.)0 -
I assume from what you say you have a genuine licence for Microsoft Office, in which case you should be able to re-install it.
If you have the product key you'll just need to find installation media (I think others on here can point you to a source). If you don't have a key you could call Microsoft and explain what happened - provided it was a genuine licence and not an evaluation copy, they should be able to assist.
In the meantime you can try OpenOffice, Libre Office, WPS (there are a few others). None of them is 100% compatible with Microsoft Office which is closed code, but they're usually good enough for simple documents.
Another option is Office Online. As far as I know if you have an outlook.com account you get access to this - it's a stripped down version of Microsoft Office but would be your best bet for compatibility.0 -
Thanks everyone, what happened is that I purchased a second hand refurbed laptop so the version of office was already on it. Any thoughts?0

will let you redownload Office 2007 or 2010 but you'll need the license key which would have been accessible under Windows 10.
Quickest just to use one of the freebies mentioned above.0 -
restore the backup, find the keyDon't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0

Have a look with explorer to see if "Windows.old" is still on your computer then look for Office. Might be there if you just rolled it back0
