Cheap brand new washing machine help (Beko)?

Options
I'm after a new washing machine (cheap) and have seen a Beko one at a reasonable price. Can anyone tell me whether this is a good make - I personally have not heard of it before although people in my family have.

  • I'm sure there are experts around here who will post but when I was looking at options for a washing machine I found this site very good:

  • I`ve had a Beko fridge freezer for about 5yrs, know its not a washer but its a Beko brand and up to now its worked ok.
  • I have a BEKO washer and for the money its a really good machine>washes quite well and the clothes come out reasonably dry for a 1000 spin machine.
In fact my last one was a 1700 spin and the BEKO nearly matches that one for dryness (if that makes sense).
So my answer is yes its a pretty good machine
If you dont ask you dont get!!
  • Just make sure you don't buy a Servis. I made the mistake "a washing machines a washing machine" and bought a budget Servis. It waited til it was 1 week out of 1 year guarentee and was knackered-irrepearable.

There is very little that could be wrong with a 53 week old servis that would make it un-repairable.

    What was wrong with it.

Was it written of by a dodgy insurance company that wouldn't pay for a set of motor brushes.
  • Any washing machine that sub £200 would do you, have a look in Comets and Curries, they all run loss leaders.

Servis, Indesit, Wirlpool are all made by Malonie so just get the cheapest it will be the same, or even BEKO, unless you are a heavy user you should three pluss years use out of a cheapy

Our Beko fridge freezer seems reasonable. For washing machine we have a Tricity Bendix (from Argos) as that's what my Mum recommended to us and what we could afford. We've had it about 3 years now and only had to replace the drive belt (which i fixed myself).

  • Hey, I have a BEKO washing machine (eco care wma 10 w)

I've had it for 2 years and it's been great, I do around 3 washes per day (have two kids)!

I only use it on 40 deg as I'm a bit of an eco warrior but it cleans the clothes really well.

(Feel a bit of a hypocrite actually coz im', in the midst of replacing the door seal on it but apparently that's a common problem with most washing machines)!!
