Just had my bag stolen from swimming lessons changing room, only 4 of us there, 1 left and bag gone, even know her name, dodgy family. House insurance or car insurance for my car locks. Bag had house keys, car keys and driving license with address on it. Please help, I'm in a right state !

First priority get your locks changed and notify police of theft. You need a crime number in case anything happens for which you need to submit an insurance claim. Then cancel any bank cards that you had in the bag and tomorrow contact car dealership to ask if there is anything that can be done to safeguard your car.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Done police, bank, mobile, other half is changing locks now. Brand new car on the driveway but apparently it's a transponder key which can be reprogrammed by my garage, any idea how much. Trouble is when I go to lessons next week will probably swing for the cow!Too many children, too little time!!!

Price really varies by make from £60 to £125+. Ask on the motoring forum.
Oh yeah as she has your driving license you need to sort out CIFAS Protective Registration so one of her pals can't steal your identity.

Don't hit her you could end up being arrested. Just tell the other 2 people that your handbag went missing with all your stuff in it.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Problem is that the stolen key can be programmed out of the cars memory so that it will no longer start the car but it will still allow physical access to the car. If your car has an alarm then you may be half safe as if someone opens the car door with a key the alarm will activate and they will be unable to deactivate it by putting the key in the ignition.
Deprogramming that stolen key should take more than 15 minutes for a dealer. The real sting will be buying a new key and having it coded. I bought an additional remote key for our Corsa. Cost was £58 and £33 to code it.The man without a signature.0
