DRO Questions

Hi.im new on here and iys very helpful..but i have a question...ive just started a DRO last month and two debts invcluded were joint tax credits overpayments.my partner is unaware of my DRO and has paid one of these debts because he.unlike me has a squeeky clean credit record and doesnt do debt.his name is on the bill.will i be revoked?thanks.

There's no issue here. As the debt was jointly owed, your partner remained liable for the full balance, and so his decision to clear it does not undermine your DRO in any way.


Just for the record, a tax credit overpayment would not affect his credit file unless HMRC sued him in the county court - extremely unlikely.
