Hi. I'm seeking a little advice about deductions to my deposit.
I am currently being evicted by my private landlord. I have no rent arrears he would just like the property back. No inventry was taken at the beginning of the tendency.
On the local council advice I have had to stay in the property until bailiffs attend. This will happen on the 31st.
The court costs to have me evicted were issued to me by the court and I am responsible for paying the amount back to my landlord.
I have explained to my landlord that I am currently unable to afford the amount and that wasn't a problem.
Can the court fees be deducted from my deposit or is it a seperate matter?

It's a different matter, but if you both agree it could be taken from the deposit.
If there's no inventory, proving any other deductions will be hard anyway.
If you agree to do the fees this way, I'd get it written down from the LL so he doesn't come back and claim then again later..0 -
It would seem the best way to avoid having a CCJ.....0
